FRIDAY 9th June 2006 - Spring is well under way and now as we enter the warm summer time and the long days of light until 21st June - Irene's Birthday- then the days start to get shorter again and we head towards Autumn and another Christmas. All the flowers are in bloom in the garden and the colours are starting to brighten up the place (as well as the sunshine of course!!). We have booked our flights to Stavanger in August to visit Suldal again - where we can go for long walks without slipping and sliding................. we look forward to sitting in the sun and enjoying picnics in the warmth with good company again - so look forward to seeing you all in August.

Best wishes from Irene and Bernard.

15th July 2006 - Only 4 weeks tomorrow and we will be winging our way to Stavanger - get the BBQ's ready!!!!

4th December 2006 - We are coming over to Stavanger in 3 days to see little Arne J (and Monica and Kevin!) and any of our Norwegian friends who may be around while we are there - hope to see you.................

28th May 2007 - Hello to all our friends in Norway. We are now taking some lessons in Norwegian at the Scandinavian Church in Liverpool (where Arne was christened). Stan (who did the catering, with his wife, for the christening) teaches Norwegian every Thursday to a small group of church members and we have joined them to learn a little. We are way behind the others at the moment but will gradually build up some conversation and understanding of the language. The first lesson was to play the childrens game "Guess Who?" in norwegian, and we had some fun and learned a little.
